Preview: Webster Groves vs. Parkway West
The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. Webster Groves will challenge Parkway West on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Webster Groves come in off of three low-scoring performances in a row, a trend the team is obviously eager to reverse.
We expected Webster Groves to have trouble with the significantly higher-ranked Rockwood Summit last Friday, and they did. Webster Groves suffered a grim 0-29 defeat to Rockwood Summit. Webster Groves' defeat continues a disappointing trend for the squad, making it eight losses in a row.
Meanwhile, Parkway West had a bit more than a touchdown to spare in a 35-28 victory over Fort Zumwalt South. The success made it back-to-back wins for Parkway West.
Parkway West's win lifted them to 6-3 while Webster Groves's loss dropped them down to 0-8. We'll see if Parkway West's success rolls on or if Webster Groves are able to steal their positive momentum.
