Game recap: North Allegheny High School Football Team wins against Coatesville

COATESVILLE, Pa. - The defense contributed on the scoring end for North Allegheny (Wexford, Pa.) on Saturday, totaling 12 points as the Tigers upset Coatesville (Pa.) 63-21.

After taking the lead on a Mack Leftwich touchdown pass to Skylar Cox in the first quarter, the Tigers led 35-14 at the half.

North Allegheny expanded its lead to 28 points entering the fourth quarter. NA scored two times in the third, including once on a Leftwich touchdown pass to Gregg Garrity.

Even though the Wexford school led by 28 points entering the fourth quarter, it poured the points on, scoring 14 in the fourth.



Alex DiCiantis played well for the Tigers in the victory. The senior running back ran for three touchdowns. He has now scored 17 touchdowns on the season.

Emmitt Hunt made a difference for the Red Raiders. The senior quarterback ran for two touchdowns.

The defeat comes as a step back for Coatesville, which notched a 42-35 victory over La Salle College in its previous outing.
