Football Recap: Martin Luther King Takes a Loss

The Martin Luther King Cougars came up short against the William Allen Canaries on Friday and fell 36-24.

William Allen was led to victory by Julian Pagan and Teshon Gaynair. Pagan rushed for 114 yards and a pair of TDs, while Gaynair picked up 142 receiving yards and two scores. Gaynair also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making three total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Martin Luther King's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for William Allen, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Martin Luther King will venture away from home to take on George Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for William Allen, they will welcome East Stroudsburg North at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
