Baseball Recap: Worcester Tech Takes a Loss

Worcester Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lunenburg Blue Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 8-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Zachary Braconnier was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Worcester Tech's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Lunenburg, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.

Lunenburg will be playing at home against North Middlesex Regional at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday. Worcester Tech will be paying especially close attention to the Blue Knights' contest: after the Blue Knights face off against the Patriots, they'll take on Worcester Tech again at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
