Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Midway). They strolled past the Terrell Tigers with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 68-50. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Midway's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Carl Simmons led the charge by putting up eight points and five steals. Thanks to that strong game, Simmons now owns an excellent 54.5% field goal percentage. Grant Gebhard was another key player, scoring nine points and six boards.

Midway smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in four consecutive games.

Midway's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Terrell, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Midway didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 68-63 defeat against Connally on the 25th. As for Terrell, they have also already played their next contest, a 54-51 loss against Jefferson on the 25th.
