Preview: Barnegat vs. Pinelands Regional
The Pinelands Regional Wildcats fans better hope the squad plays one heck of a game Friday as the odds are decidedly against them. They will take on the Barnegat Bengals. Pinelands Regional will be strutting in after a victory while Barnegat will be stumbling in from a defeat.
The Wildcats escaped with a win against Lacey Township by the margin of a single free throw, 33-32.
Speaking of close games: it was all tied up 23-23 at halftime, but Barnegat was not quite Point Pleasant Boro's equal in the second half when they met on Tuesday. Barnegat was just a three-ball short of a win and fell 65-63 to Point Pleasant.
Pinelands Regional's win brought them up to 4-14 while the Bengals' loss pulled them down to 15-5. Pinelands Regional is 0-3 after wins this season, and the Bengals are 3-1 after losses.
