Softball Game Preview: Erie-Mason Eagles vs. Madison Trojans

The Erie-Mason Eagles are taking a road trip to square off against the Madison Trojans at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Erie-Mason is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Monday. They lost 17-1 to Summerfield. The game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Erie-Mason saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Gotha-Hart, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Madison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Dundee, falling 23-15.

Madison got a massive performance out of Kendall Gilbertson, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Macie Kilpatrick was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.

Erie-Mason's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Madison, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8.
