Basketball Game Preview: Chrisman Cardinals vs. Armstrong Trojans

Chrisman is 0-7 against Armstrong since January of 2017 but things could change on Thursday. The Chrisman Cardinals will be playing in front of their home fans against the Armstrong Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Chrisman is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Tuesday. They lost 46-25 to Westville.

Despite their loss, Chrisman saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Taylor Jones, who posted seven points in addition to nine rebounds and four steals, was perhaps the best of all. Jones is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Adaleyn Miller, who scored seven points and six rebounds.

Meanwhile, Armstrong came up short against Hoopeston on Monday and fell 48-41. The Trojans have struggled against the Cornjerkers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Chrisman's defeat dropped their record down to 3-21. As for Armstrong, their loss dropped their record down to 10-17.
