Basketball Game Preview: River Ridge Timberwolves vs. Fennimore Golden Eagles

The River Ridge Timberwolves will venture away from home to challenge the Fennimore Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Timberwolves fans will have to keep waiting for their team to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Thursday's season opener. They walked away with a 46-36 victory over De Soto on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Fennimore strolled past Belmont with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 50-32. The Golden Eagles' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

River Ridge better keep an eye on Brooklyn Ritchie. She was instrumental in Fennimore's win, shooting 46% from the field on her way to 17 points and seven rebounds. Kate Kenney was another key player, putting up eight points.

River Ridge took their win against Fennimore in their previous meeting back in November of 2024 by a conclusive 46-23 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Timberwolves since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
