Baseball Recap: Orcas Island Comes Up Short

Orcas Island came into this matchup off a tough 15-run loss last Saturday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Friday Harbor Wolverines by a score of 4-2 on Monday. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolverines apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Orcas Island and nudges their season record down to 1-5. As for Friday Harbor, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

While Orcas Island had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
