Football Recap: North Kingstown's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Five

If Burrillville wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played North Kingstown, they should've done a better job of containing Nickolas Stafford. The Skippers blew past the Broncos, posting a 49-12 win thanks in part to Stafford, who rushed for 163 yards and three TDs on only 14 carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 132 rushing yards.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to North Kingstown's defense and their four sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Tali Watson and Chris Ciarniello, who racked up all four sacks between them.

The victory (which was North Kingstown's fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 30.8 points over those games. As for Burrillville, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. North Kingstown will take on Barrington at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. The Skippers are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Burrillville, they will face off against Westerly at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
