Soccer Game Preview: Venice vs. Parrish Community

The Venice Indians will take on the Parrish Community Bulls at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Venice came up short against Bishop Verot on Friday, falling 6-1. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 117th, while the Vikings are ranked 30th).

Meanwhile, Parrish Community lost 5-1 to Lakewood Ranch on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulls in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now lost five in a row.

Parrish Community's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-5-1. As for Venice, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-6-3.

Venice skirted past Parrish Community 1-0 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Does Venice have another victory up their sleeve, or will Parrish Community turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
