Baseball Recap: Hancock County Hornets vs. Webster County Trojans
Hancock County was the 8-5 winner over Webster County when they last played one another back in April of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Hornets fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 4-2 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Hornets have suffered since April 17th.
Porter Hay was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. Hay was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.
