Preview: Prague Red Devils vs. Victory Christian Conquerors
The Prague Red Devils will face off against the Victory Christian Conquerors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Prague had no problem doing just that on Friday. They really took it to Spiro for the full four quarters, racking up a 45-0 victory at home. The victory was just business as usual for Prague, who after 11 games remain undefeated this season.
Meanwhile, Victory Christian was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Rejoice Christian 40-7 at home. Given Victory Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma football rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while Rejoice Christian is ranked 115th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ayden Hamilton continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 225 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries, while also throwing for 98 yards and two touchdowns. Hamilton really tore up the turf during one magnificent 74-yard run. The team also got some help courtesy of Eric Peterson, who rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.
Prague has yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 11-0 record. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 36 points. As for Victory Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.
Prague took a serious blow against Victory Christian in their previous meeting back in November of 2022, falling 48-20. Can Prague avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
