Basketball Recap: Inter-Lakes Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Inter-Lakes lost to Winnisquam back in February, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Inter-Lakes Lakers walked away with a 54-44 win over the Winnisquam Bears. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lakers.

Leading Inter-Lakes to victory were Riley Anderson and Bella Kimball. Anderson dropped a double-double on 19 points and 15 boards, while Kimball went 9 of 17 on her way to 21 points. Those 19 points gave Anderson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracie Stephens, who posted six points and six rebounds.

Inter-Lakes' victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-0. As for Winnisquam, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-2.

Inter-Lakes will head out to challenge Prospect Mountain at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Winnisquam does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
