Baseball Recap: Brooks Comes Up Short

Brooks was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 13-12 heartbreaker at the hands of the Morgan Park Mustangs. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by just one run.

Brooks' loss dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Morgan Park, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Brooks will take on rival Solorio at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Morgan Park is set to square off against their familiar foe Lindblom at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
