If Monache was riding high fresh off their 19-4 takedown of El Diamante last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Marauders fell just short of the Buchanan Bears by a score of 7-6 on Saturday. The Marauders' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Monache saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aalyha Mendoza, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Ariel Martinez was another, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Monache's loss dropped their record down to 8-3-1. As for Buchanan, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.
