Basketball Recap: Martin Tigers vs. Robstown Cottonpickers
The third road matchup was the charm for Martin, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They secured a 52-48 W over the Robstown Cottonpickers on Saturday.

Martin found their leader in freshman David Nieto, who went 5-for-10 to rack up 12 points and three steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for Nieto. Alejandro Labra also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.
Martin was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in four consecutive games.
Despite the loss, Robstown still got an impressive performance from Andre Hazel, who posted 25 points. The contest was Hazel's fifth in a row with at least 20 points.
Martin's win bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Robstown, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.
Looking ahead, Martin will head out to face off against Mission at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give the Tigers their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Robstown, they will be home for the holidays to greet West Oso at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
