Softball Recap: Heppner/Ione Has No Trouble Against Knappa

Heppner/Ione made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Knappa, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Heppner/Ione put the hurt on Knappa with a sharp 9-3 victory on Wednesday. This was payback for the Mustangs, who suffered an 18-11 loss the last time these two teams met.

Heppner/Ione has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 8 runs this season. As for Knappa, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Looking ahead, Heppner/Ione will take on Santiam at 12:00 p.m. on April 4. As for Knappa, they will welcome Rainier at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Knappa is facing Rainier at the right time seeing as Rainier is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
