Basketball Recap: Seffner Christian Makes It Five in a Row on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bolles, Seffner Christian was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They strolled past the Indian Rocks Christian Eagles with points to spare, taking the game 47-28. The Crusaders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Indian Rocks Christian's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kayleigh Atkinson, who went 6 of 11 on her way to 13 points, and Kaylee Caruso, who posted six points.

Seffner Christian's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.6 points per game. As for Indian Rocks Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seffner Christian and Lakeland will face off at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. Seffner Christian is facing Lakeland at the right time seeing as Lakeland is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Indian Rocks Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Lakeside Christian at 4:30 p.m.
