Basketball Game Preview: Taylor's Crossing Eagles vs. Leadore Mustangs

The Taylor's Crossing Eagles will take on the Leadore Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 72-39, which was the final score in Taylor's Crossing's tilt against Watersprings on Thursday. The match marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Leadore took a blow against Rockland on Wednesday, falling 62-19. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 124th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 20th).

Taylor's Crossing's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Leadore, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

Taylor's Crossing beat Leadore 56-49 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Leadore's Dane Piippo, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds.
