Softball Recap: Cloverleaf Comes Up Short

After flying high against Ravenna on Monday, Cloverleaf came back down to earth. The Colts fell 7-2 to the Norton Panthers on Wednesday. If the Colts were looking for revenge after losing 19-1 to the Panthers when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Cloverleaf's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Norton, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Cloverleaf is set to take on their familiar foe Field at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Colts 3.7, the Falcons 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Norton will face off against rival Woodridge at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
