Football Game Preview: Roosevelt Bears vs. Woodhaven Warriors

The Roosevelt Bears will face off against the Woodhaven Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Roosevelt won a game that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Anderson 21-20. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bears.

Roosevelt can attribute much of their success to Brayden Jevahirian, who rushed for 83 yards and one TD. The team also got some help courtesy of Collin Reedy, who picked up 88 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, Woodhaven won against Lincoln Park two weeks ago with 49 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Warriors blew past Allen Park, posting a 49-21 victory. Fans of the Warriors have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

The win got Roosevelt back to even at 2-2. As for Woodhaven, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.

Roosevelt suffered a grim 20-0 defeat to Woodhaven in their previous matchup back in August of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Warriors' Preston Scheffler, who threw for 170 yards and three TDs.
