Football Recap: Lutheran South Comes Up Short

It was a classic North v. South duel when Lutheran South faced off against Lutheran North on Friday. The Lancers were dealt a 57-7 loss at the hands of the Crusaders. While losing is never fun, the Lancers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri football rankings (they are ranked 288th, while the Crusaders are ranked 23rd).

Lutheran South's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Lutheran North, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lutheran South is set to take on their familiar foe Westminster Christian at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Lutheran North will square off against rival MICDS at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
