Football Recap: Covington-Douglas Takes a Loss

Covington-Douglas played a tough matchup on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 50-12 loss at the hands of the Cherokee Chiefs. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-6.

Although Covington-Douglas took the loss, they still got scores from Drake Donnell and Justus Halcomb.

Covington-Douglas now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Cherokee, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Covington-Douglas is set to take on their familiar foe Coyle at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Cherokee will challenge rival Olive at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th.
