Volleyball Recap: Solon Comets vs. North Royalton Bears

Solon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Royalton Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 on September 4th.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-8, 19-25, 25-17.

Leading North Royalton to victory were Ally Buffa and Kaitlyn Bryant. Buffa had 11 digs and four assists, while Bryant had seven digs and one assist. Buffa is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 12 games she's played. Alex Sutkowski also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Solon's record now sits at 2-17. As for North Royalton, the win got them back to even at 8-8.

Coming up, Solon will square off against Brecksville-Broadview Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Royalton, they have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Olmsted Falls on the 1st.
