Football Recap: LaFayette Takes a Loss

LaFayette came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were outmatched by the Northwest Whitfield Bruins and fell 40-7. The Ramblers have struggled against the Bruins recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

LaFayette's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Northwest Whitfield, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. LaFayette is set to face off against their familiar foe Gilmer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Northwest Whitfield will square off against rival Calhoun at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Gavin Nuckolls and Trace Hawkins.
