The Northwest Texans will head out to challenge the Samuell Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Northwest is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 13th straight games dating back to last season on Saturday. They had to suffer through a 61-30 loss at the hands of Waco.

Despite the defeat, Northwest saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Maddox Cooper posted nine points.

Meanwhile, Samuell took their game on Saturday with ease, bagging a 72-39 victory over Diamond Hill-Jarvis. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Spartans.

Northwest's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Samuell, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
