Recap: Cypress Creek Bears vs. Bishop Kenny Crusaders
The Cypress Creek Bears's four-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They had just enough and edged Bishop Kenny out 58-55. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Cypress Creek's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kingston Baez, who scored 15 points along with five assists. Kevin Edou was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Cypress Creek's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Bishop Kenny, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cypress Creek will face off against Lake Mary at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lake Mary presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Cypress Creek in Florida (Lake Mary is ranked 200th, while Cypress Creek is ranked 498th). Bishop Kenny and Orange Park will face off at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
