They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Piedmont Panthers. That's two games in a row now that Sun Valley have lost by just one goal.

They hit Piedmont with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Braden Carr, Yaleek Ledbetter, and Eros Jimenez.

Sun Valley's loss dropped their record down to 7-14-2. As for Piedmont, with the win, they broke their five-match losing streak and moved their record to 4-13-4.

Sun Valley wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 5-0 defeat against Marvin Ridge on the 29th. As for Piedmont, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Weddington on the 29th.
