Mt. Vernon had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Rogers. This was payback for Mt. Vernon, who suffered a 2-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Their offense was headlined by Savannah Dampf and Ziah Schmutz, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Ruth Fish and her ten assists.

Mt. Vernon's victory bumped their record up to 15-6-2. As for Rogers, their loss dropped their record down to 11-11-2.

Mt. Vernon has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Glendale on the 4th. As for Rogers, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Branson on the 4th.
