After a string of three wins, East Rockingham's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the Harrisonburg Blue Streaks by a score of 61-59. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Eagles came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 145th, while the Blue Streaks are ranked 321st).

East Rockingham's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-4. As for Harrisonburg, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-9.
