Softball Recap: Lewis County Comes Up Short

Lewis County fell victim to Greenup County and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Musketeers. The Lions have struggled against the Musketeers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Jerra Lucas spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits.

Lewis County now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Greenup County, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season.

Lewis County has already played their next match (against Bath County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Greenup County, they are taking a road trip to square off against Mason County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
