Volleyball Recap: St. Charles East Takes a Loss

St. Charles East lost against Oak Park-River Forest back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Fighting Saints fell 2-0 to the Huskies. The Fighting Saints have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Kaylee McInnis paced St. Charles East's offense, picking up five kills. McInnis got some help from Francesca Fevold and her seven assists.

Among those leading the charge was Kate Bailitz, who had nine digs and four assists.

St. Charles East's loss dropped their record down to 12-16. As for Oak Park-River Forest, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, St. Charles East and Oak Park-River Forest will both be playing Waubonsie Valley the next time they take the court. The Fighting Saints will head out to face the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Huskies will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
