Farmington came into Tuesday's game looking for another win against Viewmont, but Addison Pinnock wouldn't allow it. The Vikings sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Phoenix on Tuesday for which the team can thank Pinnock, who had 17 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played.
Viewmont took Farmington into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 25-13, 25-23, 18-25, 17-15.
Farmington's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Kylee Day, who had 36 assists and ten digs, and Kole Riebe, who had nine digs.
Viewmont's victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-1. As for Farmington, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Viewmont will venture away from home to take on Taylorsville at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Farmington, they will head out to square off against American Fork at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
