Kent Denver is a perfect 5-0 against DSST: Montview since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Sun Devils will host the Knights at 11:00 a.m. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Kent Denver has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while DSST: Montview will arrive with four straight wins.

On Thursday, Kent Denver didn't have quite enough to beat Denver Christian and fell 6-4. That's two games in a row now that the Sun Devils have lost by exactly two runs.

Vedder Yates made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Zain Arafin was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, DSST: Montview made easy work of Denver West on Friday and carried off a 13-1 victory.

Paul Ventura was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over 5.1 innings pitched. DSST: Montview is undefeated when Ventura allows one or fewer hits, but 6-8 otherwise. Ventura was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last four times he's played.

DSST: Montview's win bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Kent Denver, their loss dropped their record down to 11-8.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Kent Denver has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like DSST: Montview struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 11.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Kent Denver got the 'W' when the teams last played back in March of 2025 against DSST: Montview by a conclusive 18-3 score. Do the Sun Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
