After losing to University Prep the last time they met, Lassen decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Grizzlies were the clear victors by a 15-9 margin over the Panthers on Thursday. Considering the Grizzlies have won seven games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Landon Kirack was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Taylor Steward, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

The win made it two in a row for Lassen and bumps their season record up to 9-12. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 3-10 Anderson and 4-12-1 University Prep. As for University Prep, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12-1.

Lassen wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 16-2 victory against Anderson on the 17th. As for University Prep, they have also already played their next contest, a 5-3 win against Yreka on the 17th.
