Softball Game Preview: Westmoreland Eagles vs. Lancaster Red Devils

For the second straight game, Westmoreland will face off against Lancaster. The Eagles will venture away from home to challenge the Red Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Westmoreland is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 14 runs per game this season.

Westmoreland couldn't beat Lancaster on Tuesday even though they stacked five runs on them in the fifth inning. The Eagles lost 17-8 to the Red Devils. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Red Devils recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Westmoreland saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madelynn Hays, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

The victory was the seventh in a row for Lancaster, bringing their record up to 15-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Westmoreland, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-3.
