Softball Recap: Northwest Vikings vs. Stewart County Rebels
Northwest lost against Stewart County on Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Northwest took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Stewart County.
Halley Barnes made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two RBI. Those RBI marked the first that she brought in this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tavasia Buckley, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.
Northwest's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Stewart County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
Northwest will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Kenwood at 6:00 p.m. Stewart County has already played their next contest (against Clarksville Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
