Basketball Recap: East Hamilton Takes a Loss

East Hamilton lost against Red Bank back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The East Hamilton Hurricanes fell 65-58 to the Red Bank Lions.

Red Bank got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Mike Alex out in front who went 6 of 10 on his way to 13 points in addition to six rebounds and three blocks. The dominant performance gave Alex a new career-high in blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of DJ Wilbur, who went 5 for 10 to rack up 15 points and six boards.

East Hamilton's loss dropped their record down to 16-4. As for Red Bank, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Hamilton will head out to take on Bradley Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bradley Central will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something East Hamilton surely won't give up without a fight. As for Red Bank, they are taking a road trip to square off against Tyner Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Tyner Academy is on a seven-game streak of home wins, Red Bank a five-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
