Baseball Recap: Armstrong Trojans vs. Salt Fork Storm
Armstrong put the finishing touches on their 11th blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They never let the Salt Fork Storm onto the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for Armstrong.
Armstrong got a big performance out of Blake Learned, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Cain Buhr, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.
Armstrong's win bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Salt Fork, they dropped their record down to 7-12 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Armstrong will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Oakwood at 4:30 p.m. Oakwood knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with flashy run totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully Armstrong likes a good challenge. As for Salt Fork, they will head out on the road to square off against Georgetown-Ridge Farm/Chrisman at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
