Football Game Preview: Fort Lauderdale Flying L's vs. Coral Springs Colts + Official Tickets

The Fort Lauderdale Flying L will head out to face off against the Coral Springs Colts at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Fort Lauderdale and eight for Coral Springs.

Fort Lauderdale managed to slip by McArthur the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Flying L's were beaten by the Mustangs 39-6 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Flying L's can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 370th, while the Mustangs are ranked 80th).

Meanwhile, Coral Springs lost 35-12 to Stoneman Douglas on Friday.

Coral Springs' loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Fort Lauderdale, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Fort Lauderdale took their victory against Coral Springs in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 40-20 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Flying L's since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
