Basketball Recap: MacArthur Comes Up Short

MacArthur had lost three straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped down to 1-10 to make it four. They had to suffer through a 74-30 loss at the hands of the Coolidge Colts. Having soared to a lofty 67 points in the game before, the Mammoths couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for Coolidge, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 12-3. 74 seems to be a good number for them as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

It was another big night for Eric Turner, who shot 4-for-5 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double with 28 points and ten rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Coolidge's points. Another player making a difference was Malachi Hooks, who posted eight points and ten boards.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. MacArthur will host Eastern at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Coolidge, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Ron Brown at 7:30 p.m.
