Madison came tearing into Friday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.2 points) and they left with even more momentum. They slipped by the Point Loma Pointers 63-62. The Warhawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Pointers, too.

Madison's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Adein Lea?E led the charge by going 6 for 8 en route to 13 points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance gave Lea?E a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Runnar(Rj) Miller, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards.

Madison smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in six consecutive contests.

When it comes to explaining why Point Loma lost, don't look at Grant Stewart. Despite the final result, he went 12 of 18 on his way to 31 points and three steals. Na'Sean Hardy was another key player, putting up 14 points and three steals.

Madison's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-6. As for Point Loma, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-4.

Madison didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 69-49 defeat against Mission Bay on the 28th. As for Point Loma, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 67-63 victory against Coronado on the 31st.
