Manchester had lost five games on the road, but after bumping their record up to 12-12 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. Everything went their way against the Southwood Knights as they made off with a 17-11 win. The Squires might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.

As for Southwood, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-18. On the bright side, the 11- run performance marked their highest-scoring matchup to date.

For Southwood's part, Coan Holloway was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That home run was Holloway's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ivan Ranck, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Coming up, Manchester will face off against Central Noble at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Southwood, they will challenge Northfield at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
