Basketball Recap: South Plaquemines Takes a Loss

South Plaquemines was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by the Slidell Tigers 69-25. The matchup marked the Hurricanes' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Slidell's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ayden Ducre led the charge by going 6 of 10 to rack up 16 points. Ducre is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last three games he's played. James Chaney was another key player, going 7 for 13 on his way to 15 points.

South Plaquemines' defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Slidell, their win bumped their record up to 19-13.

Looking ahead, South Plaquemines won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Jefferson RISE Charter at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Slidell, they will challenge Salmen at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
