Volleyball Recap: Emma Krogh Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Lapwai

Kamiah barely beat Lapwai the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Kubs put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Kubs.

Kamiah walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-22, 25-22.

Kamiah's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Emma Krogh, who had 13 kills and ten digs. Krogh is crushing it when it comes to kills: she's had at least seven every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Audrey Puckett, who had ten digs, five aces, and two blocks.

Kamiah was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Despite the loss, Lapwai still got an impressive performance from Junee Picard, who had 11 digs and four aces.

Kamiah's record is now 18-8. As for Lapwai, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-8.

Kamiah has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Prairie on the 18th. As for Lapwai, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Clearwater Valley on the 15th.
