Bogue Chitto won the last time they faced Franklin County and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bogue Chitto Bobcats were the clear victor by a 12-1 margin over the Franklin County Bulldogs. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bobcats.

Jonna Claire Roberts was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Roberts was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Julie Leggett and Abigail Holder did most of the damage at the plate: Leggett scored two runs while going 1-for-3, while Holder scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.

Bogue Chitto's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Franklin County, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Bogue Chitto didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 1-0 win against Terry on the 13th. Franklin County will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Natchez at 6:00 p.m. on February 25th.
