Basketball Recap: Brycen Rummel Key Part of Team Effort in Mustangs Win

Nucla won the last time they faced Center and things went their way on Friday too. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp 68-47 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

Nucla's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brycen Rummel, who went 6-for-8 from beyond the arc on his way to 21 points along with eight assists and seven boards. Rummel is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 26 games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Austin Garvey, who almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine rebounds.

Nucla's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Center, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Nucla will take on Vail Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Center, they will face off against Calhan at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
