Soccer Game Preview: Middle Park vs. Arvada

The Middle Park Panthers will challenge the Arvada Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Arvada will be up against a hot Middle Park team: the squad just extended their winning streak to nine. The Panthers never let Englewood get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory on Wednesday. Middle Park's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last five contests.

Meanwhile, Arvada got the win against Jefferson on Wednesday by a conclusive 7-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for Arvada.

Their offense was hitting Jefferson from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Carmen Medina led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Middle Park pushed their record up to 11-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those four games. As for Arvada, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Middle Park beat Arvada 3-1 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
